WIP Special Part 5 || basically a party where I Do What I Want

So I'm late.

What's new?

But I have a good reason this time! (don't I always?)

See, it's the start of a new month, which means a couple of things:
  • It's now Camp NaNo (whooo! go everyone!)
  • This is the last of the 5-Part Special posts (and I was late, because obviously that's the thing to do?)
  • My family now has our new month's fast internet after running out of last month's.
    • When we use all our fast internet, we get slow internet
    • s l o w
    • Blogger wouldn't even let me try putting pictures into posts
      • (and Spotify wouldn't even acknowledge there was internet)
        • (I think Spotify might be an internet guzzler?)
    • And as you'll know by now, this week's post was about aesthetics and all the gorgeousness!
    • so having no pictures doesn't exactly work
  • Also I have one week to finish two TAFE units' assessments! (*harried screams*) (I had more than two months to do this. Why, Jem. :| )
Anyway, I'm here now! :D

5-part writing special (Part 5: party)

(Lila made the awesome graphics - thanks, Lila! <3)

The March 5-Part Special

Part 5: ...fun stuff

Aesthetics! Artwork! Music! all the fun stuff which I haven't collected yet, basically.

–{{tea and scones || tired and grumpy || don't hurt his books || grumbling || "why did I do this to myself" || Count Laszlo / the Beast

–{{ doesn't trust anyone but herself || bickering || regret ||  angry-sad || protective || has to be in control of her situation || Billie

–{{ aching || music || ghosts from the past || can't hide forever || homemaker || Elsie

Josie || engages with anyone || reckless || doesn't want protecting || archery || hunting the Beast }}–

–{{lost || charming smile || sadness behind his eyes || banter || leader of bandits || Rowan

Zephyr || grieving || careful with his words || loyal to the death || all heart }}–

[Remember how I've always said I can't write while listening to music? Yeahhh. But sometimes I feel like music helps me add a little more emotion, so... these are songs I'll play in the background while I write. (You'll notice there are. no. lyrics.) It needs to be reordered, but I just skip/repeat as necessary, so...]
.... That's the end of Part 5 - and the whole event. ....

*sniffles*

Now go check out these blogs for their amazing posts they got theirs up on Friday, I'm sure xD because their stories are so. cool. and I've been waiting impatiently to see their party-posts! Part-5-y posts?? I am ashamed of me.

.....

Do you make playlists? Are you on Spotify? (drop your link in the comments!) Do you sometimes run out of internet?? (is it Spotify, do you know?) How do you make aesthetic collages? Which character do you most like the sound of? Which character of mine is most like one of yours? (would they get along or not?)

  1. SO PWETTY!!!!!!! I love all of these---I think your Josie reminds me to some extent of my Kariana. They'd probably clash but then get along okay when they weren't having friendly quarrels. XD

I've never heard of running out of internet....that's weird! (Is it an Aussie thing? I would DEFINITELY not be the one to ask about that....) XD

    1. I think maybe for the next multi-blogger writing event we should have our characters meet?? That would be... difficult to arrange, but possibly quite cool. xD I'm sure Josie would love to meet Kariana, Faith! (she likes meeting new people... can't even hold a grudge against the bandits.)

As for the internet thing, we're on a "shaped" plan. That means we pay a certain amount for a set amount of fast on-peak data (and a heap of off-peak we hardly touch); when we exceed that amount, the speed drops back to really slow. The alternative is a plan that keeps the speed, but increases the price significantly - which could mean we'd get hit with a bill we weren't expecting, if we didn't keep a close eye on data usage.

  2. Oooh, this is so aesthetic and awesome!

I feel the same way that the beast feels about books. *nods* Very relatable. XD

    1. Thanks, Gray! The Beast is such fun to write... he has all my grumpy bookworm tendencies. xD

  3. Oh, and I do run out of internet also, we're on slow right now and I hate it. :/

    1. Ugh, slow internet is terrible, right? I'm thinking of contributing $20 a month or something to bump up the amount of data we get...

    1. It's usually my brother who makes the puns, and I'm the one who gives the obligatory groan... Do you make a lot of puns, Sarah? (hopefully they're better than my brother's. xD)

    1. Thanks! Count Lazlo's aesthetics particularly influenced the mood of the book, so they're quite important. :)

Are you doing Camp this month, Catherine?

  9. Look at all those nice pictures! Also, I know the struggle of the internet - ours does the same when we run out. It's bothersome. :( All the best with Camp NaNo, and those assignments! What are you studying, if you don't mind me asking? xx

    1. It's definitely not fun, trying to work with slow internet. (But better, I suppose, than being hit with unexpectedly high fees?)

I'm studying Library and Information Services! Thanks, Jessica - I hope Camp goes well too. :)

    1. Thanks, Victoria! Yes, I definitely trawl through other writers' Pinterest boards - Spotify is new for me, and it's harder to find other writers, but I look forward to finding lots of new music in time!

      *internet high five back* ;)

  12. This is cool! Your WIP looks fun, and I'm impressed by your aesthetic-making abilities! (Also, I just started following your blog, despite the fact that you've been commenting for ages, and anyway, yeah.)

    Also, tag, you're it. https://dreams-dragons.blogspot.com/2018/04/spring-cleaning-writer-challenge.html

Ooh, fun! I'll... stuff that tag in my bookmarks folder for when I get back into blogging after April. xD (May might be a tag month, I'm thinking??) But that looks like a tag I really need, so it'll be great! :D

  13. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Your style of a WIP Blogpost is so fascinating, especially since I've never made an aesthetic despite the many pinterest boards i've created. And it's all so prettyyyyyyy
